Since I was 18 years old (I’m 36 now), I first heard the teachings from Elio's book and have always kept them in mind because they are very valuable. They are valuable because from the day of the introduction to the new students there was a discussion, and for the first time I heard what I had always felt was the truth, that everyone lives isolated from reality...distracted and captivated by the 'outside world' in a constant victimization state. These concepts were dismissed by everyone around me, and I decided on more than one occasion to abandon Elio's teachings and focus on what everyone else was doing, and expected me to do as well.
